How Our Guides Are Written and Checked
Money guidance is only worth what the checking behind it is worth. This page sets out who writes our guides, who reviews them, what we verify before anything is published, how we use AI, and who is legally accountable for every word on this site.

01 Who Publishes Financial Finest
Financial Finest is a digital brand of Mega Commercial Enterprises Limited, registered in Ireland under company number 726999, registered office at 77 Camden Street Lower, Dublin D02 XE80, Ireland. Every guide, service page and tool on financialfinest.com is published by that company.
02 Editorial Responsibility
Editorial responsibility for everything published on financialfinest.com is held by Mega Commercial Enterprises Limited, and personally by Inga Barkauskaite, Director and Chief Executive Officer.
A named company and a named person hold the ultimate legal responsibility for the substance of what appears here — not an algorithm, not an anonymous content desk, and not a freelance byline we could disown. Nothing is published on this site without a human being having read it, checked it and approved it on substantive grounds.
If something on this site is wrong, there is a person whose job it is to fix it, and you can reach her. Section 11 tells you how.
03 Who Reviews Our Guides
Financial Finest was founded by Inga Barkauskaite, who holds an MBA and a Master of Taxation and brings more than twenty years in US finance, tax and business to the work. Review is carried out by her, or by a person of equivalent subject-matter competence working under her direction.
This matters for a specific reason. Review means a deliberate examination of the substance of a guide by someone who understands the subject well enough to know when something is wrong. It is not proofreading. A spell-check is not a review, and we do not treat it as one.
04 How a Guide Is Written and Checked
1. Research. We establish what the current rule, threshold, form number or deadline actually is, from the authority that sets it — not from another blog.
2. Drafting. A draft is produced, with AI assistance where it speeds the work up. Section 5 explains exactly how.
3. Substantive review. A qualified human reads the draft against the research. Every figure, rule, threshold, deadline, form number and factual claim is checked against a primary source. Anything that cannot be sourced is removed, not softened.
4. Approval. The guide is approved for publication by the person holding editorial responsibility, who has the authority to alter or reject it outright.
5. Review dating. Each guide carries the date it was last reviewed, so you can see how fresh the checking is rather than guessing from a publication date.
05 How We Use AI
We use AI writing assistants to help research and draft. We say so plainly, because a reader deciding whether to trust a guide about their retirement account is entitled to know how it was made.
What AI does here. It helps gather material, structure an explanation and produce a first draft. It is a drafting tool, in the way a word processor is a drafting tool.
What AI never does here. It does not publish. It is not treated as a source, and nothing it asserts reaches this site unverified — generative systems produce fluent, confident text that is sometimes simply wrong, which is exactly why every number and rule is checked against the authority that issued it. We do not use AI-generated images of people, and we never present a generated person as a real client, adviser or team member. No testimonial on this site is fabricated.
Our internal AI Use and AI Literacy Policy sets out these rules as binding obligations on everyone who works on this site.
06 The Sources We Check Against
For US rules we verify against the issuing authority — the Internal Revenue Service for tax rules, thresholds and forms; the Social Security Administration for benefit and totalization questions; FinCEN for FBAR reporting; and the relevant federal or state body for anything else. For the countries our readers move to, we use the national tax authority, the relevant ministry, and official EU sources.
Where a point is genuinely unsettled, or turns on facts we cannot know about your situation, we say so in the guide rather than manufacturing a clean answer.
07 Independence
We sell no financial products and earn no commissions. No institution, brokerage, insurer, bank or transfer service pays to be recommended, mentioned or omitted here, and no guide has been reviewed or approved by a company it discusses. When we introduce you to a licensed professional, we are paid by you and not by them.
Our digital products and services are our own, and where a guide mentions one it is identifiable as ours.
08 Corrections and Updates
Tax rules, thresholds and account policies change, sometimes with little notice. If you find something here that is out of date or wrong, tell us at [email protected] and we will check it against the primary source.
Where a correction is material — a changed figure, a reversed conclusion, a rule that no longer applies — we correct the guide and update its review date. We do not quietly alter a substantive claim and leave the old date standing.
09 What This Site Is Not
Financial Finest provides financial information, education, organisation, assessment and professional coordination services. We do not provide investment, legal, tax or accounting advice, and we do not sell financial products. Personalised advice is provided by independent, licensed professionals. Careful editing is not a substitute for advice about your own circumstances — always verify important decisions with a qualified professional and with official sources. See our Disclaimer for the full position.
10 The Legal Framework
Article 50(4) of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689, the EU AI Act, requires AI-generated or AI-manipulated text published to inform the public on matters of public interest to be disclosed as such. That obligation does not apply where the content has undergone human review or editorial control and a natural or legal person holds editorial responsibility for its publication.
We rely on that provision. The human review described in sections 3 and 4 is real and substantive, and the editorial responsibility recorded in section 2 rests with a named company and a named person. This page is our public statement of both, published so that any reader — or any supervisory authority — can see the basis on which we publish rather than having to ask.
Article 50 of the AI Act has applied since 2 August 2026.
